Jan Broberg Carter

I e-met Jan on Facebook in 2010. I was just about to start producing my short film “The Man with the Spying Glass”, and Jan agreed to write music for my film after talking to me and reading the script. She was willing to travel from Portland, Maine (US), to Wroclaw (Poland).

Soon I learned that this is what Jan does; she commits herself fully and gives her 150% to projects and friends she makes during the creative process.

Jan not only came to the set of “The Man with the Spying Glass” but also wrote fantastic music for that short and my previous short film “9 MM”. We also became very good friends, had lots of fun together at Sundance Film Festival in 2011 and were proudly representing “The Man with the Spying Glass” at Newport Beach Film Festival in 2011.

When I decided to make a feature film, Jan supported that idea from the very start and jumped on board as an executive producer of “Anna & Modern Day Slavery”.

Over the years, she has worked as a composer and in music departments on several productions. She also started touring film festivals as an international judge. Wherever she goes, everyone loves her.

Jan is immensely talented, humble about her talent and accomplishments, committed, smart and always a joy to work with and be around. I do hope that our next project together is just around the corner.
